DEATH BY HYPOTHERMIA AND CHOICE OF GARMENT
Body heat loss is a function of the amound of water a garment absorbes. The more water that needs to be evaporated the more the temperature drop of the body. This idea is predicated on there being two different modes of heat loss. Which are water going through the garment, and water being absorbed into the fabric. There are various tests for each of these processes. It is possible to creat a garment with zero water pass through and high or low absorption. This allow the calculation of heat loss from high and low absorption garments. Both of the garments have zero pass through of water to the wearer.
