Charles Ivie is a retired NASA research scientist, astronomer, and space craft systems designer. He has worked in the aerospace and science arena for over 40 years. Most of that time was spent at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, but his work job also took him to other NASA centers including the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Cape Canaveral in Florida, and NASA headquarters in Washington DC.

With specialties in optical and radio astronomy, spacecraft science systems design, and relativistic physics and quantum mechanics, Ivie was able to help a client he connected with on Zintro. This client was preparing a paper on black hole physics and quasars. The researcher did not have a strong background in this area and was looking for someone with a background in astrophysics.

“My work in cosmology helped this client with his search for a method to refine the determination of Quasar population based on various detection procedures and techniques,” says Ivie. “It is likely that my relationship with this client will continue as he prepares a scientific paper on the topic.”
