Zintro Fee Schedule

Zintro's pricing varies on whether the relationship between Client and Expert is on a consulting or employment basis, as further described in the Zintro User Agreement available at http://helpdesk.zintro.com/knowledgebase/articles/389735-zintro-user-agreement.  However, Zintro generally classifies Experts as follows:

  • An Expert is an employee if (a) Client hires the Expert in the U.S. and the Client will report to tax authorities with respect to the Expert using IRS Form W-2, or (b) Client hires the Expert outside of the U.S. and will pay the Expert a regular salary without a specified termination date; and

  • An Experts is a consultant if  (x) Client hires the Expert in the U.S. and Client will report to tax authorities with respect to the Expert using IRS Form 1099, (y) the Expert will invoice Client for services performed, or (z) the Expert does not qualify as an employee per the definition above.

If you have any questions about this fee schedule, Expert classification or otherwise, please feel free to call Zintro at 1-877-236-7016 or 617-936-0140  or email us at business@zintro.com or support@zintro.com .

1.  CONSULTING ENGAGEMENTS

1.1  Projects and Long or Short-Term Contractor Assignments

Projects are defined to be consulting and/or other types of professional service engagements billed on an hourly or fixed price basis for anything over 3 hours in duration.  These engagements that may involve off-site and/or on-site work.  The Zintro Fee for projects is 20% of the Expert’s fees.

For projects, the Zintro Fee is added to the Expert’s fees by Zintro when each invoice is paid by the Client.

NOTE:  Zintro’s fee structure applies for up to 3 years after the introduction.  Please contact Zintro if you would prefer to buy out (i.e., pay a lower amount now) the remainder of the agreement.  This might make sense if you are involved in a large long-term project.

1.2        Phone Consults

Phone Consults are engagements (typically, but not always, delivered over the phone) with a total engagement duration under 4 hours.  They might include market insight calls, technical support calls, or other types of brief engagements.  The Zintro Fee for phone consults varies depending on the specific client agreement and call bucket or plan. See Zintro's Pricing page for call hour rates.

1.3         Expert Witness Engagements

Expert Witness Engagements have the same pricing structure as Projects.

1.4         Out-of-Pocket Expenses

Expert will itemize on each invoice any (pre-approved by Client) out-of-pocket expenses.  Zintro will withhold 5% (to cover payment processing costs) of out-of-pocket expenses.

Example:

  • If airfare + hotel room + car rental = $1,000, Expert will invoice the Client (a marked up amount of) $1,050 and Zintro will withhold $50.  In that way, Expert is made reimbursed his/her full $1,000.

1.5         Taxes

If Expert’s fees or other charges are subject to taxes, these should be included in invoice to Client.  Zintro will collect them and pass them through to the Client without a markup.

1.6         Sales that involve a combination of Products and Services

If a project includes both the sale of products and services, please contact Zintro to work out an appropriate fee structure.  For example, a software company may charge license fees and implementation fees.  In this case, a customized fee structure would be set up with Zintro.

2.             EMPLOYMENT

2.1         Job Postings by Company or Internal Recruiter

For full-time or part-time jobs, the Zintro Fee is 15% of the employee’s first-year cash compensation (including salary and expected bonuses and commissions). As the employer, Client is responsible for paying the Zintro Fee. Zintro will invoice Client 50% of the applicable Zintro Success Fee amount upon the Candidate’s acceptance of the Client's offer of employment, and the remaining 50% upon Candidate's start date. Client shall pay all such invoices within 15 days of the invoice date.

Example:

  • If the employee’s first-year cash compensation (including salary and target bonus) is going to be $100,000, Zintro is paid $15,000 by the Client (Company).

Note: there is no up-front cost to posting a job,  Zintro works like a contingent recruiter and only charges a fee if the position is successfully filled.

2.2         Job Postings by Third Party Recruiter

Pricing for third party recruiters is the same as job postings by company or internal recruiter (see above).  However, Zintro will structure special pricing for third party recruiters if there is the possibility for a high volume of listings.  Please contact Zintro for details.

Note: there is no up-front cost to posting a job,  Zintro works like a contingent recruiter and only charges a fee if the position is successfully filled.

3.             ADDITIONAL TERMS

Occasionally, Zintro partners offer referral fees (“bounties”) to incentivize Zintro Experts to tap their networks to help source potential hires or even deals.  The fee structures on these deals are typically described in the Inquiry and any subsequent documentation shared by the Zintro partner.  If you have any questions about how this works, please contact Zintro.

If your organization may be interested in a departmental, site, or corporate license of Zintro, pricing will depend on number of users, anticipated usage volume, and the nature of usage. For more information, and to discuss any special arrangements or high volume partnerships, please contact Zintro.
