Plant based management of salt affected land and high salt water, "Saline Agriculture" can help develop enterprisers on livestock, fish, honey bee and bio diesel. Soil health and environment rapidly improves in such systems and area becomes food secure and income generating. This has been shown on laboratory level and in semi large farmer participatory development projects. Such a package of technologies is equally good for developing and developed countries but are a dire need for developing countries where saline environments are associated with intense socio- economic problems. Not to mention that militant organizations mostly recruit foot soldiers from waste land areas where the income of common people is low.
